Board of Directors

Laurie Ann Salmi

Director

President of AHAF

Horses have been a part of my life since I was a young child. I have competed nationally in amateur Halter, Hunter Pleasure, and Dressage as well as numerous other divisions at the Regional level. Involvement in AHAF and our region is a growing passion of mine. I enjoy working with other people to develop ideas to further extend the reach of our breed as well as create a sense of cohesion and fellowship. Among our regional members lies a tremendous wealth of experience and knowledge spanning every aspect of the industry in which I will access at every opportunity. One important goal I have is to increase participation from all clubs and encourage them to create avenues for new and returning people to experience our breed to its fullest.

Rob Bick

Vice Director

I am honored to serve as Region 12 Vice Director. My career as an Arabian horse trainer has led my wife, Caralyn, and me to own and operate RBC Show Horses in Smithfield, NC. Currently, I am serving on Cal Poly President's Arabian Advisory Committee and hold a seat on the Board of Directors for the Arabian Western Pleasure Association and the Arabian Professional Horseman's Association.  My proudest moment recently came as an inductee into the AHPA's Hall Of Fame in 2019. As Vice Director, I want to ensure that all disciplines are allowed an equal opportunity to compete and display their talent. During the past 40 years, I have seen many changes to our industry but one thing has stayed the same, to know the Arabian horse is to love them.
